Deanna – incurable optimist

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I have been lucky in the past two years to work at the International Symposium on ALS/MND, and am always inspired by the enthusiasm, and commitment of the delegates attending.

Observing all the discussions and networking which takes place during the lunch/dinner breaks is always an exciting time, along with hearing about the new research which is taking place, and the partnerships which are being formed.

This is why I am optimistic about research.

I work as a Research Officer within the MND Association to help organise the International Symposium and communicating the latest updates of MND research across our social media platforms. I graduated with a master's degree in Neuroscience from Cardiff University in 2023. I have previously supported the awareness of Fragile X syndrome within the UK.
